How does the StrongHold® Floor Support System work?

The StrongHold® system uses galvanized steel jacks and beams that are carefully positioned beneath your crawl space. MDH’s installation team calculates the number and spacing of supports needed so the system works effectively under the specific conditions of your home.

How long does installation take?

Most installations are completed in a single day. Larger homes or projects involving additional joist or girder repair may take 2–3 days. Because the work is done entirely in the crawl space, disruption inside your living space is minimal. In nearly all cases, homeowners can remain in the home during installation.

Will new supports rust or fail in a damp crawl space?

No. StrongHold® supports are made of fully galvanized steel, which provides excellent resistance to rust and corrosion—even in humid Gulf Coast environments. This makes them a far better choice than untreated wood or uncoated steel posts, which are more likely to degrade over time.

Do I also need crawl space encapsulation or dehumidification?
